This portrait was created during one of my underwater family sessions in Noosa, on the Sunshine Coast.
Our shoot began with just mum and me — a slow, gentle start that gave her time to ease into the experience, choose her looks, and enjoy professional makeup before stepping into the water. Later, dad and their little boy joined us, and the pace shifted. Suddenly, the pool was filled with movement, laughter, and that unmistakable energy only a young child can bring.
This captured moment — quiet and connected, yet full of life — became the centrepiece of a wall gallery they’ll walk past every day. A portrait that doesn’t just show what they look like, but holds what it felt like to be together, in that moment, away from the noise of daily life.
